In 1962, Gerald Berlyn started Berlyn Extruders as a new machinery company focused on single screw extruders and the downstream equipment needed to compound, color and recycle thermoplastic materials. The product line grew to include sheet, profile and foam.

In 1964, he started a used plastics machinery company whose focus was rebuilding or remanufacturing to “just like new” standards.

Consulting services were added along the way and all three activities are vibrant and continuing today.
